The French champions progressed 4-1 on aggregate after a narrow win in Spain, with Kylian Mbappe scoring the only goal of the game in the second half.
Mbappe struck in the 52nd minute, finishing off a fine move involving Neymar and Lionel Messi. The goal was Mbappe's 29th in all competitions this season, and his sixth in the Champions League.
Real Sociedad pushed for an equaliser but were unable to find a way past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the PSG goal. The closest they came was when Alexander Sorloth hit the post in the 75th minute.
PSG will now face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, with the first leg to be played in Paris on April 11.
