Thunderstorm, rainfall warnings lifted across eastern Ontario, western Quebec
Environment Canada has ended severe thunderstorm and rainfall warnings for eastern Ontario
The weather agency says the threat of severe thunderstorms has diminished across all regions
Environment Canada has lifted all thunderstorm and rainfall warnings for eastern Ontario and western Quebec Saturday evening.
The weather agency had issued the warnings earlier in the day, as a line of thunderstorms moved across the regions. Environment Canada said the storms were capable of producing strong winds, large hail and heavy rain.
However, the storms have since weakened and the threat of severe weather has diminished. Environment Canada says there is still a risk of isolated thunderstorms overnight, but they are not expected to be severe.
